Hi, I’m Nancy. Welcome to my Laguna Beach garden & kitchen. I like to say I have an A to Z garden–I grow everything from arugula to zucchini.

About 10 years ago I started with a few raised beds, a half-dozen tomatoes and lots of herbs.  I was off to a slow start. I battled gophers, rabbits, deer, and raccoons, not to mention the snails and caterpillars.

But I persisted. Four years ago I enclosed my raised beds to keep out the critters, and converted my hillside to a fruit orchard. The rabbits and squirrels still run around the fruit trees, but I haven’t seen them climbing any….yet.

I like to share my successes…and failures…as well as recipes with the hope that you’ll start a garden and enjoy the pleasure of cooking and eating with fresh ingredients.

Gardening and cooking are both passions and hobbies for me…along with my real job–I’m a Portfolio Manager and am responsible for making sure my clients can afford to send their kids to college AND retire comfortably. At the end of my work day, I love to dig in the dirt in my garden.
